What Have I Done?

On a whim today I decided that I was tired of trying to keep the rat's nest on the back of Keegan's head tame, and took him for his first haircut. I watched as she cut away at his beautiful curls, and wanted to scream, "STOP, but I knew it was too late. The outcome is cute, but truth be told, I want my babies curls back!

Here's To Mom

Here's to my mom. When doctors said that delivery of a normal baby would be impossible and abortion would be the only way, mom refused to give up and found a doctor that would deliver. She was strong even in the midst of negativity all around her. I still remember mom working with me, a little 5 year old girl with a bad speech impairment, and ears that just didn't work like they were supposed to. She called them my "special ears."

She spent endless hours teaching me to say and form my words. She also taught me to sing, because she knew how badly I wanted to. Most importantly she taught me about Jesus. Her life was always an example of God's love.

Even now, I would consider mom my best friend. The one I can talk to about anything, the one who always understands me. I know she's always my biggest fan, my biggest supporter, my biggest prayer warrior.

Thanks mom. It seems like such a simple thing to say, but its all I can say. Thank you!

Keegan's 2 year old Pictures!

I took Keegan for his pictures today. I have to admit I was very nervous, he hasn't had this done since he was a year old, and I had no idea how he was going to act. I was so proud, he did a great job! I think it helped that the photographer was a pretty blond girl (he's a bit flirtatious with the girls). Anyway, I have to say I think that my Keegeroo's is awfully cute!

Our New Canine Addition

This is Lexi, Keegan's 2nd birthday present. She is a Puggle, Pug daddy and Beagle mommy. She should only be 16-18lbs. We pick her up Monday. Keegan's going to love finally have someone else to play with besides mommy and daddy!

Okay, I was tagged about two weeks ago, I have just put it off. Anyway, here goes.

What was I doing 10 years ago?
Hmm... 10 years ago I would have been 16, turning 17. I would have been finishing up my junior year in high school. Hanging out with my best friend Nicky Carroll, and thinking that I had already found what I thought was the love of my life. Thank goodness that didn't work out, or I might have never found the one and only love of my life.

5 things on my to-do list today:
1. Mop the kitchen floor
2. Run the sweeper
3. Dust
4. Do laundry
5. Post some clothes on ebay
As you can tell, today is my cleaning day :)

Wow, there are so many! My favorites are probably
CheezIt Crackers (I can eat a whole box in a day!)

Pretzels
Green Olives (Isn't that weird?)

Things I would do if were a billionaire:
Buy our own house
Pay for Keegan's College
Buy both of our parent's new houses
Support lots of Christian colleges, charities, etc.
And of course, buy some new clothes!

Three of my bad habits:
Why am I posting this?
1. I tend to scatter things while I get ready to go somewhere.
2. I love to go barefoot outside, hence the very calloused feet.
3. When I'm doing laundry, I tend to leave the last load in the dryer until the next day, then I have to deal with very wrinkled clothes (very aggravating habit)

Eating With Friends....

Tuesday, Chip and I met Scott, Kristina, Brian and Sherissa In Indy at Longhorn. It was so nice to be able to spend some time with friends. Keegan had a blast with Konrad and Reagan (as you can see). I was only at G.B.S. for a year, but I gotta say, I met some really great people!
